The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the first generic version of Viagra termed as Sildenafil citrate.
Sildenafil citrate comes in 3 different strengths: 25 mg, 50 mg, and 100 mg tablets. It has been proven to display the same strength as Viagra.
Teva stated that it has exclusive rights to produce generic sildenafil for 180 days. These medications are used when someone faces erectile dysfunction.
If you notice any risk factors of erectile dysfunction such as aging, use of tobacco, or issues of overweight, usage of medications, drug or alcohol use you must immediately consult a doctor.
The study by Public Health researchers states that more than 18 million men in the US aged 20 and above are affected by erectile dysfunction.
“According to Mayo Clinic experts, having occasional erection trouble can be normal. If it is a persistent problem it may be a sign of an underlying health condition. This condition may need to be treated. This could be considered as a red flag that heart disease might be an issue. The Pennsylvania-based pharmaceutical company Teva will be adding the drug sildenafil citrate, for male erectile dysfunction to its roster of hundreds of other generic medications. Teva told CBS News the drug will go on sale on December 11, 2017.”
